The Maltese sleeper
This sculpture is directly inspired by the “sleeping lady” found in a necropolis
by Hal Saflieni in Malta. It evokes Neolithic art with its excessively rounded hips and shoulders. Christine invites everyone to rediscover the gentleness, the serenity, the generosity of the mother who is always present in each of us, since the dawn of time. The sleeper from Malta, surrounded by “the good geniuses”, waits for three days at the ancient tomb for the spirit to give birth to her by incarnating a male soul in this body in the making.
Atlante and the sleeper of Malta are linked beyond prehistoric times to our cosmic future. By a quantum vibration that “good geniuses” grant with poetry. This is how the echo of the song of our human history passes from linear time to spherical, cosmic time. Life is eternal whatever its form, we only keep the light for our cosmic freedom with the help of “good geniuses”.

Poetry by Pierre Garcin
The Sleeper rests with serenity
Naturally lying on your side.
The caress of a breath could awaken him
But his sleep will last for eternity.
It draws its sap from ancient times
Protective goddess of mythical peoples.
She waits for the male mind filled with excitement
And will receive the seed so beneficial
